Hurriyat Conference led by Syed Ali Geelani while paying glorious tributes to martyrs of Jammu and Kashmir has decided to commemorate the sacrifices presented by these and added that it would organise a seminar on Tuesday, June 11., 2013

The dignitaries, media persons, prominent political leaders and intellectuals are expected to attend and address seminar.

The decision was taken in a meeting presided by Syed Ali Geelani and all the constituents including Muslim Conference, Peoples Leauge, Tehreek e Wahdat E Islami, Muslim Khawateen Markaz, Democratic Political Movement, Peoples Freedom Leauge, Mass Movement, Muslim League, Employees Movement and Tehreek E Hurriyat participated in meeting.

According to the spokesman, presided by Syed Ali Geelani, the seminar would commence sharp at 1pm and delegates from Jammu are expected to attend and address the audience.

The executive while evaluating the prevailing situation and political developments took stock of situation and discussed the strategy with respect to future plans. The council  unanimously paid heartfelt tributes to  all martyrs and  with special regard to martyrs of year 2010 and  observed that nation is anxious enough  about the Tabinda Gani murder and rape case and are worried about its proceedings in  concerned court.

Executive council expressed their serious concern and said that people are eager about court verdict. They expressed hope that the accused in the case would be brought to task for their heinous crime.

The representatives in their  appeal to  concerned lawyers and court authorities has asked to extend and cooperate in said case so that the accused are punished for their crime without any further delay and added that police has included  more than 90 witnesses in the said case ,thereby  causing the delay  in court verdict. The constituent members in  meeting expressed their displeasure and serious concern about a police official involved in devilish act and  running a militant module in Doda.

“It is for undue promotion and awards that  Police officials  were involved in such  cases  and unleashed brutalities, exploited and killed innocents observed executive council,” read the statement.

Referring to  retired DG police, executive  members said that not only the said officer was promoted out of turn but even get undue favours  after their retirement from services.

“Rashid Billa, the renegade though involved in triple murder of innocent civilians is being shielded by authorities and is being provided with favours and shelter. A list of those Task Force officials involved in brutal killings of thousands of innocent citizens is being formulated,” said members of executive council and added it will serve a record for future generations.

The executive members observed that these killers after their retirement seek refuge in political parties and even get chances and are elevated as trustees for local Masjid committees.

Stressing their demand for  immediate release of Masarat Alam Bhat,Mir Hafiz Ullah,Mushtaq ul Islam,Shakir Ahmad Mir,Nasir Abdullah,Shakeel Ahmad Bhat,Dr Mohamad Qasim Faktoo,Mohamad Shafi Khan Sharyatee,Gh Qadir Bhat,Mohamad Ayoob Dar,Mohamad Ayoob Mir,Mohamad syeed,Peer Fayaz Ahmad and others ,Executive council added and expressed its concern that authorities in order to delay their  release  are creating unconstitutional hurdles and impediments
