IGP Kashmir A G Mir Wednesday visited the flood affected areas of North Kashmir. He visited the areas falling under the jurisdictions of Baramulla, Sopore and Bandipora.He reviewed the police efforts taken and to be taken in North Kashmir in the wake of the recent floods.
He held security review meetings and took stock of security arrangements in Pattan, Baramulla, Sopore and Bandipora. IGP while speaking in the meetings asserted upon the officers that while full assistance should be provided in the rehabilitation of the flood affected people, the normal policing should also be focused upon once again. He also directed the officers to collect the details of the losses suffered by the policemen in the recent floods, which will help us providing assistance as quick as possible.
