The incessant rains across Kashmir resulted in suspension of cross LoC bus service on Monday.

Reports reaching here from Uri said first bus service on Chakoti -Muzaffarbad was suspended. “And now heavy rains have rendered Trade Facilitation officer TFO to order closure of transit trade as well,” local sources said this evening.

Taufiq Zafar, a trader told Kashmir Life, “we had already loaded trucks with goods as trade takes place from Tuesday to Friday while Monday is reserved for bus service.”

He said due to the prompt closure of road they are in immense pressure as they fear “goods may get damaged in these heavy rains”.

The authorities have also said that road will remain closed for tomorrow as well.
