Incessant rains have played havoc in the Poshpora village of Kupwara District with the water spilling over to main roads and paddy fields.
The rear canal of river Kehmil has washed away the bridge that connects Poshpora village to rest of the district via Trehgam.
The situation in the area is panicky, locals said.
The locals alleged that the district administration was missing on ground as no official visited the area so far.
Officials told Kashmir Life that a team of I&FC employees has been dispatched to the area to assess the situation.
