While paying rich and glowing tributes to slain Saddam Paddar, Bilal Ahmad, Dr Rafi Ahmad, Adil Malik and Touseef Ahmad and five slain civilians, Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) on Monday said that India is interested only in Kashmir land without Kashmiri people. A Freedom Party delegation led by Engineer Farooq Khan visited the areas where militants and innocent civilians were laid to rest and exhibited solidarity with the bereaved families.
JKDFP said that New Delhi is busy in a well planned “genocide” of Kashmiri people because it is interested in Kashmir without Kashmiri people who fight for their political rights since last seven decades. The party warned that if the killing spree is not stopped immediately and people are not heard, the situation would turn uglier and beyond any body’s control.
The party expressed shock and grief over the fresh killings by the government forces and their “collaborators” in Shopian including militants and unarmed civilians. Terming the killings as unfortunate, a Freedom Party spokesperson said in a statement that Kashmiri people are being killed only for their pro-freedom sentiment. The only aim of this ongoing violence is only to terrify the freedom-loving Kashmiri people.
The Freedom Party spokesperson said that Kashmiris are being “massacred” by the largest democracy of the world and irony is that the whole world is watching as a mute spectator. Freedom Party reiterated its appeal to the international community to act before Kashmiris are wiped out by India.
