The armies of India and Pakistan on Monday late evening exchanged fire along the Line of Control in Mendhar sector of the district Poonch in Jammu division.
An official said that the Pakistan army opened by small arms along LoC in Mendhar sector of Poonch district at about 10:15 pm.
“The soldiers manning the fence also responded the fire strongly,” he said.
However, there were no immediate reports of any damage from either side.
