The source stated that the IAF has been assigned the responsibility of airlifting examination materials to ensure the smooth and secure conduct of the nationwide medical entrance test, which is being held again after the original examination was cancelled amid allegations of a paper leak.

It was further noted that the armed forces remain prepared to provide additional assistance if required by the authorities to facilitate the successful conduct of the examination.

Preparations for the re-test are underway, with the National Testing Agency (NTA) set to conduct the examination on June 21. On Sunday, the NTA issued city intimation slips for candidates appearing in the re-examination, enabling them to check their allotted exam city by logging in using their application number and password.

The re-examination will be held across 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad.

The NEET-UG 2026 examination for undergraduate medical admissions was originally conducted on 3 May but was later cancelled on May 12, following allegations of a paper leak. The matter is currently under investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), while the upcoming re-test is intended to ensure a fair and transparent process for all candidates.
