Old City’s Jaffaria Lions Sunday won the week long Mirza Shah Sahib (RA) Volleyball Championship. The tournament was organized at Hassanabad Rainawari.
A statement said that 6 local teams took part in the finals, in which Jaffaria Lions beat Gazi Boys with 3-1 and lifted the title.
Aga Syed Abid Hussain (Imam Jama’at) was Chief Guest on the occasion. Sheikh Tulal Ahmad (Manager, Indoor Stadium Srinagar), Javaid Hussain Sherazi (President, HWO) and Tariq Rashid Ghani (President, JKHSC) were Guests of Honour. The event was organized by J&K Hussaini Sports Club.
At the award ceremony, Sheikh Tulal Ahmad said, “I will be providing all equipment of the said game to make it grand event in future.”
President (JKHSC) Tariq Rashid promised to hold coaching camps for volleyball in future.
