Civil society group KCSDS has strongly condemned the outpourings of Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely while addressing a public meeting in Sambha in memory of Premnath Dogra, the founder of the Jan Sangh.

“The very timing of the meeting and his speech is meant to give Kashmir struggle a communal color masquerading under jingoistic nationalism,” the group said in a statement. “He had come down to Jammu to preach communalism and tough measures against those who are demanding right to self determination.”

KCDS said the visiting minister asserted that some people from outside J&K who talk of human rights in Kashmir, have never visited Kashmir and seen the security men getting injured by stone throwers.

“Even after the genocidal blood bath in the valley in which 76 precious lives have been cut down in the prime of their youth, so far, 10000 persons have been crippled and maimed, over 500 deliberately blinded in the worst kind of barbarity, large scale arrests and destructive raids on people’s homes Jaitley is still busy in creating fictive narrative about the terribly grim situation by presenting the case of few members of forces who have been injured in stone pelting,” the statement said. “If he is so sure about his falsehood, let him allow the UNHR Chief to visit the valley and let the outsiders know the reality. This political Darwinism will be thoroughly exposed once the reality is known to the world from ground zero.”

KCDS accused the minister of being “drunk with arrogance of power” and his inability to see “the naked dance of death and destruction, and humanitarian disaster which they have ordered in the valley to exterminate Muslims as enemies.”

“He is openly preaching Hindu majoritarian communal politics to jammuites to ignite the communal cauldron,” the KCDS statement said.”We denounce his imperial talk with the disdain it deserves and request UN body to send its delegation to find the stark reality for themselves and see how ‘largest democracy’ is holding Kashmir by blinding , maiming , killing and looting.”

  1. Non violent assertion by Kashmiri nation is the only way out as it will take its own time to creat an ultimate impact provided that our ideology is just perfect with disciplined organisations maintaing passionate and sustained effort. Creating a non voilent image of our freedom struggle that catches mass support depends upon our total ethical and moral values which will help it to to earn respect of our adversary. It will be naive to think that non violent demonstrations will not ruffle the feathers of arrogant political establishment of India. We have to create and establish an order among all ranks to avoid any reprisal or create any friction. As a result of its in-built strengths and moral upper ground the freedom struggle of Kashmir will be less susceptible to intrigue And above all it will be less harmful to its supporters but even our adversaries. We are in a revolution in making and we have a long way to go. Our collective task is not to incur change only but to trigger a real awakening of our nation without loosing it’s achievments of any level. We as a society need a drastic change to to be able to handle consequential political empowerment. We need to stand with the oppressed of today to avoid the opposite in coming time. InshaAllah the day is not far when the precious sacrifices of the great people of Kashmir will bring freedom to this oppressed nation to make sure coming generations lives with dignity and peace having its core values of accountability and social justice.
