Omar Abdullah led delegation of Kashmir opposition parties met Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Sunday.

One of the members of the opposition delegation and a former minister Gh Hassan Mir told KNS: “We met Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi today and apprised him about the prevailing situation in Kashmir valley. We also sought his support for initiation of a political dialogue over Kashmir at the earliest and conveyed our deep concerns over the use of lethal weapons like pellet guns.”

Rahul has assured them that his party will support them in giving a push to the dialogue over Kashmir issue and immediate stop of lethal weapons like pellet guns.

The delegation that met President Pranab Mukhreji on Saturday is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and top CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechury on Monday.
