Srinagar

Jama’at-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir on Friday alleged that the army camps situated in Frisal and Khudwani villages of district Kulgam  leave no youth passing near these camps without being subjected to “mental harassment and Physical violence.”

The spokesman said so far a number of youngsters have faced this ordeal which has developed a sense of insecurity among the common masses. This unjustified intimidation policy violates all the democratic and constitutional norms of the civilized world and falsifies the tall claims of political leaders about India being the largest democracy of the world and its constitution being the longest one having a full chapter devoted for the safeguard of the fundamental human rights. What treatment is being given to the Kashmiri people is a blatant violation of all the democratic norms and fundamental rights but these very leaders never utter a word against these unruly forces.

The spokesman added that Jama’at-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir has time and again impresses upon the government establishment to listen to the genuine voice of the people of Kashmir and give them a free and fair chance to decide their political future according to their own aspirations. The use of brutal force can never prove fruitful for the future of India and it’s people who need peaceful atmosphere for their economic development and prosperity.
