SRINAGAR: Health and Medical Education Department, Government of Jammu and Kashmir is seeking a Director for Sher-I-Kashmir Institute of Medical Science (SKIMS), Soura. The applications are sought through online mode from Indian Nationals.
The appointment of the candidate shall be made on tenure basis to a maximum period of five years or till the appointee attains the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier. The age of the applicants shall not exceed 62 years as on January 1, 2023. The appointment will be made by the Governing body of Sher-I-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences.
The essential qualifications for being eligible for the post include postgraduate qualification in Medicine or Surgery or Public Health as specified National Medical Council, teaching and research experience of not less than ten years, experience of not less than 25 years in the field and extensive practical and administrative experience in the field of medical research, medical education, medical relief or public health organization and experience of running an important scientific medical education institution as its Head or HOD. The post shall carry a fixed pay of Rs 2,25,000.
The notifications also reads that the recommendations made by a government department or any University or Statutory Institution shall also be treated as applications.
