SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly will adopt a paperless system from its upcoming autumn session beginning September 21, 2026, with all departmental replies and legislative business to be processed through the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA).
A circular issued by the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs has directed all departments to use the NeVA portal for submitting replies to questions, Bills and other Assembly-related business during the session.
Departments have also been instructed to access their NeVA accounts daily to ensure timely processing and communication of Assembly business.
The circular further requires each department to designate a Nodal Officer to coordinate matters related to the digital legislative system.
The move will make the September 21 session the first autumn sitting of the JK Assembly to operate under the paperless NeVA-based system.
