SRINAGAR: Sewang Tharchin, a 2007-batch Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IA and AS) officer, has been appointed as an Additional Director on the Board of Directors of Jammu and Kashmir Bank Limited in the category of Rotational Director.
Tharchin is currently serving as Commissioner Secretary, Finance Department, in the Union Territory of Ladakh, a position he took charge of on July 6, 2026.
Prior to his present assignment, he served as Accountant General (Audit), Jammu and Kashmir, from November 6, 2025.
His appointment adds a senior government officer with experience in finance and public auditing to the bank’s board.
