Jammu Kashmir Forest Department Directs Officers, Officials to Attend Workshop

   

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Forest Department will hold a workshop on medicinal plants and minor forest produce (MFPs) of Kashmir on Saturday, September 19, according to an official communication issued by the Office of the Chief Conservator of Forests, Kashmir.

The workshop is scheduled to begin at 2:45 pm in the meeting hall of the Chief Conservator of Forests, Kashmir, in Srinagar. It will be chaired by O.P. Sharma (IFS Retired), Member of the JK Biodiversity Council.

The department has directed several officers and officials to attend the workshop, including Divisional Forest Officers from Bandipora Forest Division, Urban Forestry Division, Demarcation/Research Forest Division, Stattitica Division, Planning and Publicity Division and Social Forestry, Srinagar.

The Deputy Director of the Forest Protection Force, Srinagar, Technical Officer Neesa Intiyez and designated Range Officers from various forest divisions have also been asked to participate.

Range Officers from Tangmarg, SPSP, Bandipora, Sukhnagh, Manasbal, Harran Shallabugh and Doodhganga, along with all Range Officers of the Urban Forestry Division and Range Officers of Social Forestry in Ganderbal and Anantnag, are included in the list of participants.

The communication also names Foresters Sheikh Naveed Ahmad and Tajamal Ahmad, besides Deputy Foresters Mohammad Shafi, Bilal Ahmad Yatoo and Shabir Ahmad Mir, for participation.

Two Indian Forest Service officers, Sana Fayaz and Anubhav Jain, will also attend the scheduled workshop.
