SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has deputed a group of senior officers to serve as Camp Directors and Nodal Officers across key locations to ensure smooth conduct of the Amarnath Yatra 2025.

According to two separate government orders issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), IAS officers Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary and Rahul Yadav have been designated as Nodal Officers for the Baltal and Pahalgam axes respectively. They will oversee coordination among all involved agencies and report regularly to the Chief Executive Officer of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board.
Additionally, the administration has deputed 57 officers from the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) to serve as Camp Directors and Additional Camp Directors at various camps along the Yatra route. These officers include Deep Raj, Jagdish Singh, Anil Kumar Chandail, Atul Kumar, and others across different administrative ranks and departments.
The officers are to report to the CEO of the Amarnath Shrine Board on dates to be communicated separately. Their deployment will be finalised by the Shrine Board, and all deputed officials will continue to draw salaries from their respective departments during the Yatra period.
The orders also specify that all deployed officers must revert to their original postings upon completion of the pilgrimage season.
