Jammu Kashmir: Govt Deploys Six IAS Probationers for First International Film Festival

   

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has deployed six IAS probationers to assist in the arrangements and conduct of the first International Film Festival of Jammu and Kashmir (IFFJK) 2026, scheduled from September 2 to 11.

The General Administration Department issued Government Order No. 1450-JK(GAD) of 2026 on August 27, placing the officers, who are undergoing district training, at the disposal of the Director, Information, JK, Srinagar.

The officers deployed are Aakash Garg from Srinagar, Shiva Ganesh Reddy Chennamreddy from Anantnag, Vidhi from Jammu, Saikiran S. from Kathua, Mohd. Shaukath Azeem from Udhampur and Najma A. Salam from Baramulla.

According to the order, the officers will assist the Directorate of Information in arrangements and other responsibilities related to the festival during its scheduled period.

They have been directed to report to the Director, Information, JK, Srinagar, on September 2, 2026, for briefing on their duties and responsibilities for the programme.

The order was issued by Commissioner/Secretary to the Government M. Raju, IAS, under the General Administration Department’s All India Services Section.

The deployment comes as the administration prepares for the inaugural international film festival, with the six probationers being assigned to support its organisational and operational requirements.
