Jammu Kashmir: Govt Grants Non-Functional Pay Scale to 35 Accounts Officers

   

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has sanctioned the Non-Functional Pay Scale of Level 10-A (Rs 56,600–1,79,800) for 35 Junior Scale Accounts Officers, including eight retired officers and one deceased officer.

The Finance Department issued Government Order No. 6-F of 2026, dated August 25, following recommendations made by the Selection Committee at its meeting on August 3.

The benefit has been approved from the respective dates specified against the officers’ names in the order’s annexure.

Among those covered are Umakant Khajuria, Javed Ahmad Tantray, Shah Basharat Ahmad, Amarjit Singh Sandhu, Prediman Krishan Bhat, Mushtaq Ahmad Mir, Rajinder Kumar Bhat and Tariq Ahmad Khan, who are listed as retired.

Gulzar Ahmed Sheikh, listed as deceased, has also been included in the sanction.

For the remaining officers, the non-functional pay scale has been granted from dates ranging between September 13, 2024, and December 9, 2025, while the earliest effective date listed in the order is September 1, 2019.

The order was issued by Shailendra Kumar, IAS, Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Finance Department, on behalf of the Jammu and Kashmir Government.

The sanction follows the Selection Committee’s recommendation and provides the specified officers with the approved non-functional pay scale from their respective eligibility dates.
