SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the regular promotion of retired Assistant Engineer Rajesh Jain as Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE), modifying an earlier government order to extend both notional and monetary benefits for the promotion.
According to an official order, the government has partially modified Government Order No. 238-JK(JSD) of 2023 dated October 6, 2023, issued under endorsement No. JSD-HRM01/2/2023-ADM-JSD (CC No. 7287346).
Under the revised order, sanction has been accorded for the regular promotion of Rajesh Jain, a retired Assistant Engineer, to the post of Assistant Executive Engineer in Pay Level-10A (Rs 56,600–Rs 1,79,800), corresponding to the pre-revised Pay Band-3 of Rs 15,600–Rs 39,100 with Grade Pay of Rs 5,600.
The order provides that the promotion shall be treated as notional with effect from March 1, 2021, to August 31, 2021, and monetary benefits shall be admissible with effect from September 1, 2021, instead of the earlier provision which granted only notional promotion from March 1, 2021.
The government said the modification has been made under the provisions of Article 242 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Service Regulations (CSR), Volume I, where the officer figures at Serial No. 176 of the original Government Order No. 238-JK(JSD) of 2023.
