Jammu Kashmir Govt Orders Departmental Inquiry Into Alleged Foodgrain Misappropriation in Kupwara

   

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered a departmental inquiry into allegations of embezzlement and misappropriation of foodgrains in the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS and CA) Department in Kupwara.

According to a government order dated July 31, 2026, the Government has appointed the Director Finance, FCS and CA Department, JK, as the Inquiry Officer to investigate the charges against Fayaz Ahmad Lone, Storekeeper, FCS and CA, Kupwara.

The order also appoints Shohaib Latief, JKAS, Assistant Director, FCS and CA, Srinagar North, as the Presenting Officer in the departmental proceedings.

The Inquiry Officer has been directed to complete the investigation and submit conclusive findings within 15 days from the date of issuance of the order.

The inquiry has been initiated to establish the facts and fix responsibility in connection with the alleged embezzlement and misappropriation of foodgrains in the department.
