Jammu Kashmir: Govt Orders Posting of Newly Appointed Assistant Professors

   

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the immediate adjustment and posting of 16 newly appointed Assistant Professors in the discipline of Computer Applications in the Higher Education Department.

According to Government Order No: 227-JK (HE) of 2026, issued on July 10, 2026, under file number HED-GAZ/68/2026-04(7731520), these faculty members who were previously awaiting adjustment orders have been assigned to various Government Degree Colleges across the region.

As per the official directive, the newly assigned postings include Archana Sharma to Government Degree College (GDC) Akhnoor, Nayeem Ahmad Bhat to GDC Bemina, and both Sajad Ahmad Kawa and Gulnawaz Gani to GDC Baramulla. Sharifa Rajab has been posted to GDC Ganderbal, while Mohsina Ishrat will join the Government College for Women in Baramulla. Mohammad Munzir Ahanger has been allocated to the Government College for Women in Anantnag, and Ishfaq Majeed Sheikh takes charge at GDC Uri. Furthermore, Ikhlas Ahmad Sheikh is posted to GDC Anantnag, Waseem Ahmad Magrey to GDC Budgam, Sakshi to GDC Udhampur, Krishna Pangotra to GDC Majalta, Ghayas Ahmed to GDC Reasi, Rakesh Kumar to GDC Kishtwar, Zubair Hafeez Masoodi to GDC Handwara, and Mutayyab Farooq Mughal to the Government College for Women in Parade.

The Nodal Principals of Jammu and Srinagar have been specifically instructed to immediately relieve the concerned faculty members and direct them to join their respective places of posting.
