SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the transfer, adjustment and posting of 122 Assistant Engineers and In-charge Assistant Engineers (Mechanical) across the Union Territory, with immediate effect.
The Public Works (R&B) Department issued Government Order No. 327-PW(R&B) of 2026 on September 24, superseding Government Order No. 319-PW(R&B) of 2026 dated September 14.
The reshuffle covers R&B divisions, Mechanical and Hospital divisions, Machinery divisions and other engineering establishments, besides placing a large number of engineers at the disposal of the Jal Shakti Department, Housing and Urban Development Department, Jammu Municipal Corporation and Srinagar Municipal Corporation for further posting.
Among the first 24 officials, Abdul Rawoof has been placed at the disposal of the Housing and Urban Development Department for posting in UEED Jammu Division, while Farooz Ahmad Kaloo has been posted to R&B Chadoora. Mohd Irfan Kozgar has been placed at the disposal of the Housing and Urban Development Department for UEED Kashmir Division and Firdous Ahmad Dar has been posted to R&B Kralpora.
Shahid Ahmad Khan and Sajad Ahmed Rather have been placed with the Lakes Conservation and Management Authority. Azhar Ahmad Mirza has been posted to R&B Chrar-i-Sharief. Sunny Thapa, Anil Kumar, Manik Arora, Danesh Kar, Varun Gupta, Rahul Slathia, Abhishek Mahajan, Satbir Singh, Sandeep Kumar, Mohd Izaz, Vijay Kumar, Sheikh Parveez Ahmad, Tariq Ahmad Mugal, Mohammad Yaseen Bhat, Arun Sharma, Rakesh Kumar, Rajinder Singh and Amarjit Singh have been placed at the disposal of the Jal Shakti Department for further posting.
Sajad Ahmad Khan has been placed at the disposal of the Housing and Urban Development Department, while Ravinder Singh Slathia has been posted to Machinery Division Jammu SD-II. Hakeim Sajad Hassan has been posted to R&B Rafiabad and Rohit Khajuria to the Housing and Urban Development Department for UEED Jammu. Gagandeep Singh has been posted to R&B Kalakote, while Rishi Gupta has been placed at the disposal of the Housing and Urban Development Department for UEED Jammu.
Muzamil Majid has been posted to Mechanical and Hospital Division Handwara SD-II. Rohit Manhas has been posted to Machinery Division Jammu SD-I in place of Neetu Ji, who has been placed at the disposal of the Jal Shakti Department.
Maajid Gulzar Wani has been posted to R&B Vailoo in place of Shamsudin Hajam. Hajam has been transferred to Mechanical and Hospital Division Anantnag against an available vacancy.
Sunit Singh Jeryal has been placed at the disposal of the Housing and Urban Development Department, while Kuldeep Angral has been placed at the disposal of the Jal Shakti Department. Sakshi Sharma has been placed with the Housing and Urban Development Department for UEED Jammu.
Shahid Mushtaq has been posted to Mechanical and Hospital Division Srinagar in place of Irfan Ahmad. Irfan Ahmad has been placed at the disposal of the Housing and Urban Development Department for further posting in UEED Kashmir Division.
Anis Ahmad Khan has been posted to R&B Beerwah, while Shakeel Ahmad Wani has been posted to R&B Handwara. Bilal Ahmad Sofi has been posted to Machinery Division Kashmir SD-I and Rajesh Gupta has been placed at the disposal of the Housing and Urban Development Department for UEED Jammu.
Abishekh Singh Pathania has been posted to Mechanical and Hospital Division Kathua SD-II, Abdul Raof Khan to R&B Sumbal and Sanjeev Kumar to R&B Surankote.
M. Naseer Ajaz has been posted to R&B Soura in place of Kaiser Ahmad Wani. Wani has been transferred to R&B Bandipora.
Tahir Rashid has been posted to Mechanical and Hospital Division Rajouri SD-I in place of Mushtaq Ahmad. Mushtaq Ahmad has been placed at the disposal of the Jal Shakti Department.
Parvez Ahmad Khawja has been posted to Mechanical and Hospital Division Baramulla in place of Mohd Ashraf Ali. Ashraf Ali has been moved to R&B Budgam in place of Tassaduq Hussain, who has been placed at the disposal of the Housing and Urban Development Department for further posting in UEED Kashmir.
GM Mir has been posted to R&B Kupwara, while Ajaz Ul Haq Zargar and Manik Parihar have been placed at the disposal of the Jal Shakti Department.
Pankaj Khajuria has been posted to Mechanical and Hospital Division Udhampur SD-II in place of Shammi Kapoor. Fayaz Ahmad Naikoo has been posted to Mechanical and Hospital Division Srinagar SD-I in place of Danish Ashraf Ghani.
Danish Ashraf Ghani has been transferred to Mechanical and Hospital Division SKIMS/JVC SD-II in place of Imtiyaz Ahmad Chadroo. Chadroo has been posted to R&B Zainapora.
Balwinder Singh has been posted to R&B Baramulla, while Fayaz Ahmad Bawani has been posted to R&B Lolab and Shabir Ahmad to R&B Project Division-III. Sunit Singh Jeryal and other officials awaiting adjustment have been assigned to departments as specified in the order.
Ab Rashid Bhat has been posted to R&B Banihal in place of Jyoteshwar Arora. Arora has been promoted in posting terms to SE, Mechanical and Hospital Circle Jammu, replacing Bhanu Partap Singh. Singh has been placed at the disposal of the Jal Shakti Department.
Harjeet Singh and Shivani Pandita have been placed at the disposal of the Housing and Urban Development Department for further posting in UEED Jammu. Amit Jamwal has been posted to Mechanical and Hospital Division Doda SD-II.
Niyaz Ahmad Pandith has been posted to R&B Pattan, Fasil Nisar Punjabi to R&B Sopore and Sanjeev Kumar Bargotra to R&B Katra.
Gh Hassan Bhat has been placed at the disposal of the Housing and Urban Development Department for further posting in UEED Kashmir. Mubashir Manzoor Bhat has been posted to Machinery Division Kashmir SD-II.
Sundeep Singh Sodhi has been posted to R&B Ramnagar, Jahangeer Ahmad Bhat to R&B Kulgam and Qayoom Abdul Mohund to R&B D.H. Pora.
Mohd Shahnawaz Parray has been placed at the disposal of Srinagar Municipal Corporation, while Kingjee Pandit has been placed at the disposal of Jammu Municipal Corporation. Vikram Makkar, a newly appointed engineer, has been placed at the disposal of the Jal Shakti Department.
Among officials awaiting adjustment in the Administrative Department, Tanveer Hussain Khan has been posted to Mechanical and Hospital Division SKIMS/JVC SD-III. Irfan Maqbool Lone has been posted to Mechanical and Hospital Division Srinagar SD-II in place of Farhat Javed.
Sameer Koul, under the PM Package, has been posted to R&B Project Division-II Srinagar, while Kamal Razdan has been posted to Mechanical and Hospital Division Doda SD-I.
Shadab Bashir Mir, presently with the Jal Shakti Department, has been transferred to Mechanical and Hospital Division Rajouri. Ankush Choudhary, from R&B Gandoh, has been placed at the disposal of Jal Shakti Department.
Parvez Khan has been transferred from R&B Mahore to Mechanical and Hospital Division Udhampur. Mandeep Kour has been moved from Jal Shakti to Mechanical and Hospital Division Jammu, while Abhishek Mehra, presently in R&B Banihal, has been placed at the disposal of Jal Shakti.
Javid Iqbal has been posted to R&B Karan Nagar in place of Rahul Garhotra. Garhotra has been placed at the disposal of the Housing and Urban Development Department for UEED Jammu.
Rouf Ahmad Malik, presently with Jammu Municipal Corporation, has been placed at the disposal of Jal Shakti. Vinod Khajuria has been posted to Mechanical and Hospital Division Udhampur SD-I in place of Virender Singh, who has been transferred to R&B Doda.
Shammi Kapoor has been transferred from Mechanical and Hospital Division Udhampur SD-II to Machinery Division Jammu in place of Indu Bharti. Bharti has been placed at the disposal of Jammu Municipal Corporation.
