SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government’s Agriculture Production Department has ordered a series of transfers and postings of agriculture officers across the Union Territory with immediate effect.
The orders were issued through Government Order No. 405-JK(APD) of 2026 dated September 7, 2026, in the interest of administration.
Under the order, Bhabishan Singh Jasrotia, presently Seed Pathologist, Srinagar, has been assigned the additional charge of Agronomist, Vegetable Improvement Scheme, Jammu, against an available vacancy.
Om Singh, presently District Agriculture Officer (Extension), Kishtwar, has been posted as Agriculture Information Officer, Jammu. He will join the new post after September 30, 2026, following the retirement of the incumbent. Until then, he will report to the Director Agriculture, Jammu, who will draw his salary against an available equivalent post.
S. Raj Sharma, presently ASSO, Doda, has been posted as Training Officer (F), FTC, Jammu, while Hardeep Kumar, presently DAO (Extension), Poonch, has been posted to JK Agro Industries Development Corporation Limited on deputation.
The government has also recalled Sham Kumar Gupta, presently ASCO, J&K Agro Industries Development Corporation, and posted him as ASCO, Doda, against an available vacancy.
A number of transfers involving Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officers (SDAOs), Subject Matter Specialists (SMSs), Soil Conservation Assistants and other field-level officers have also been ordered.
Among the other changes, Darshan Kumar, SMS-III, Udhampur, has been posted as SDAO, Udhampur, while Kailash Sharma, SMS-III (SDL), Poonch, has been posted as SDAO, Udhampur.
Ashwani Kumar Sharma, SMS-III (SDL), Basholi, has been posted as SDAO, Hiranagar-Dayalachak, while Man Singh-I, SDAO, Hiranagar-Dayalachak, has been posted as SMS-III (SDL), Nowshe.
Davinder Singh, SMS-III, CAD, Jammu, has been posted as SMS-III (SDL), Basholi, against an available vacancy.
Yash Paul Gupta, SMS-III (SDL), Achabal, has been posted as SMS-III, GHSS Chenani, on an ex-cadre basis, while Mohan Singh Slathia, SMS-III (SDL), Budgam, has been assigned as SMS-III, CAD, Jammu.
Parshotam Gupta, SMS-III (SDL), Ramban, has been posted as SDAO, Hiranagar-Dayalachak, while Deep Kumar, SDAO, Hiranagar-Dayalachak, has been posted as SMS-III (SDL), Chadoora.
Ravi Sharma, SDAO, Billawar, has been posted as SMS-III (SDL), Keller, against an available vacancy. Satpal Singh Lobana, SMS-III, CAD, Jammu, has been posted as SMS-III, Budgam.
Bhupinderpal Singh, SMS-III (SDL), Shopian, has been posted as SMS-III, CAD, Jammu, while Vinod Kumar Khajuria, SMS-III (SDL), Sub-Division Chadoora, Budgam, has been posted as SMS-III, CAD, Jammu.
Davinder Singh, SMS-III (SDL), Basholi, has also been posted as SMS-III, CAD, Jammu, while Mohinder Singh, SMS-III (SDL), Khansahib, has been posted as SDAO, Billawar.
Narinder Kumar, SMS-III (SDL), GHSS Chenani, has been posted as SMS-SDL, Khansahib.
The order further assigns Durishehwar Khan, Soil Conservation Assistant in the office of the ASCO Budgam/Srinagar, CAD, Kashmir, as Soil Conservation Assistant, Anantnag, against an available vacancy.
Dr Masrat Maqbool, Soil Conservation Assistant, Ramban, has been posted as Soil Conservation Assistant, Ganderbal, against an available vacancy.
In another arrangement, Harvinder Singh, SMS-II, Poonch, has been directed to hold the charge of DAO (Extension), Poonch, in addition to his existing duties.
The government has ordered that all the officers covered by the order shall be deemed relieved from their respective places of posting to enable them to join their new assignments.
