Traffic Restrictions Imposed in Srinagar Ahead of Chief Justice’s Oath Ceremony

   

SRINAGAR: Traffic Police City Srinagar has issued a traffic advisory ahead of the oath-taking ceremony of Justice Pushpendra Singh Bhati as Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh, scheduled at 11am on Wednesday at the Shalimar Convention Centre, SKUAST Kashmir.

The restrictions will remain in force from 10am to noon on September 9, or until the ceremony concludes, the traffic police said.

Motorists travelling from Harwan, Shalimar, Nishat and adjoining areas towards Lal Chowk have been advised to use the Foreshore route to reach their destinations.

Similarly, motorists travelling towards Nishat, Shalimar and Harwan have been advised to use Foreshore Road via Shalimar Bridge.

According to the advisory, no vehicle will be allowed towards SKUAST Kashmir, while vehicular movement towards Shalimar via Ishber will also remain restricted during the specified period.

Emergency vehicles will be permitted to take the shortest available route, the traffic police said.
