SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has approved the promotion of four Assistant Directors as Deputy Directors in the Fire and Emergency Services Department, JK, on a prospective basis.
The promotions were sanctioned under Government Order No. 404-Home of 2026, issued by the Home Department on August 6, following recommendations of the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC).
The officers promoted to the post of Deputy Director, in Pay Level-11, are Sarvesh Langer, Sahil Bandral, Aqib Hussain Mir and Himanshu Gandotra.
The government order said the promotions are subject to the outcome of any writ petitions pending before competent courts of law.
The sanction was issued on the basis of a JKPSC letter dated July 20, 2026, and a communication from the Director, Fire and Emergency Services, JK, dated July 15, 2025.
