Jammu Kashmir Govt Seeks Contact Details of SRO-43 Applicants for Antecedent Verification

   

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has asked applicants seeking compassionate appointment under SRO-43 of 1994 to submit their email IDs and contact details to the General Administration Department (GAD) within 21 days for verification of their character and antecedents.

According to a notice issued by the GAD on Monday, the applicants listed in Annexure-A have been directed to report in person to the Cabinet Section of the department at the Civil Secretariat in Srinagar or Jammu. The details are required for filling up e-verification rolls and obtaining character and antecedents reports from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), JK.

The department warned that any applicant who fails to report within the stipulated period will forfeit the right to appointment under SRO-43 of 1994.

The notice also directed the Deputy Commissioners of Budgam, Pulwama, Doda and Udhampur to provide the current marital status of the female applicants listed in the annexure within a week.

The Director of Information, JK, has been asked to give wide publicity to the notice through print and electronic media, while the Senior Superintendent of Police (Security), Civil Secretariat, has been requested to facilitate the applicants’ entry into the Civil Secretariat after completion of security protocols.

The notice, issued by Deputy Secretary to the Government Irfan Manzoor, is dated September 7, 2026, and concerns eight applicants from Anantnag, Budgam, Pulwama, Poonch, Doda, Jammu and Udhampur.
