SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Police Headquarters in Srinagar has ordered the promotion of three Head Constables from its Telecom Cadre to the rank of Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) with immediate effect.
According to Order No. 1762 of 2026 issued by Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat, the promotions have been granted on the basis of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) recommendations dated December 29, 2025, against available vacancies in the cadre.
The promoted personnel include Head Constable Rashad Hussain (PID No. TEL987141), Head Constable Rattan Lal (PID No. TEL987205), and Head Constable Sana-ullah Sheikh (PID No. TEL987239). All three have been placed on Promotion List ‘D’ of the Telecom Cadre and will now move to Pay Level 6, carrying a pay scale of Rs 35,400 to Rs 1,12,400.
The order stated that the promotions will be subject to the outcome of any pending writ petitions or legal proceedings before competent courts.
