Jammu and Kashmir has three players in the national squad—Majid Ahmad Magray, Rizwan Altaf Bhat and Hilal Ahmad Wani—giving the Union Territory one of the highest representations in the team, alongside Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

Announcing the squad, DCCI Secretary Ravi Kant Chauhan described Magray’s appointment as captain as a proud moment for both Jammu and Kashmir and the differently abled cricket fraternity. He said Magray’s leadership would inspire aspiring cricketers from the region to pursue the sport with greater confidence and determination.

DCCI Vice-President Sumit Jain wished the Indian team and support staff a successful tour and expressed hope that their performances would inspire more differently abled cricketers to take up the sport.
