SRINAGAR: Jammu Police on Saturday ordered the transfer and posting of 18 police officers, including Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors (SIs), Probationary Sub-Inspectors (PSIs) and Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs), in a major administrative reshuffle with immediate effect.
The transfers were ordered through Order No. 1016 of 2026, dated August 1, 2026, issued by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu, Joginder Singh, JKPS. The order states that the postings were approved by the Police Establishment Board of District Jammu.
Under the reshuffle, Inspector Jai Paul Sharma has been transferred from Police Station Gandhi Nagar and posted as Station House Officer (SHO) of Police Station Bahu Fort, while Inspector Raghubir Singh has been shifted from the District Police Lines (DPL), Jammu, where he was serving as Incharge CRT/ESU Lab, to take charge as SHO of Police Station Gandhi Nagar.
Inspector Shariq Majeed has been appointed SHO of Police Station Janipur, Inspector Arun Koul as SHO of Police Station Bakshi Nagar, Inspector Rakesh Kumar as SHO of Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu, Inspector Rattan Singh as SHO of Police Station Peer Mitha, Inspector Balram Sharma as SHO of Police Station Kanachak, and Inspector Sushil Choug as SHO of Police Station Akhnoor.
Meanwhile, inspector Vikram Sharma has been transferred from Police Station Janipur to the District Police Office, Jammu, as Reader, while inspector Naresh Sharma has been posted to District Police Lines, Jammu, as Incharge CRT/ESU Lab.
Among other postings, Sub-Inspector Sunil Kumar has been posted as Investigating Officer at Police Station Bishnah. Probationary Sub-Inspector Lalit Sharma has been appointed Incharge of Police Post Sarwal, while PSI Sohan Singh has been posted as Incharge of Police Post Phallian Mandal. PSI Naresh Kumar has been transferred to Police Station Bahu Fort as Investigating Officer.
The order also transfers PSI Kunal Sharma from Police Station Gandhi Nagar to Police Station Khour, while PSI Ankush Sharma moves from Police Station Khour to Police Station Gandhi Nagar. ASI Mohd. Aslam has been posted to Police Post Gujjar Nagar, and ASI Ved Raj has been transferred from Police Post Gujjar Nagar to Police Station Gharota.
The SSP has directed all transferred officers to be relieved from their present postings immediately to enable them to assume their new assignments without delay.
