The interaction according to spokesman covered different issues including those related to governance, communal harmony and political scenario of the state.

Er. Rasheed, spokesman said assured during the meeting that Kashmiris are not seeking any solution to the dispute on communal lines but right to plebiscite is a universally accepted formula to resolve such disputes including that of Jammu & Kashmir.

“Let people of Jammu understand the significance and urgency of resolution to Kashmir dispute. Good relations with Pakistan would benefit Jammu province more than that of Kashmir, if the dispute is resolved once for all. The people of Jammu province have to realise that New Delhi has been trying from 1947 to create a huge ideological wedge between Jammu & Kashmir regions, so as to avoid resolution to dispute”, Rashid said.

The participants of the discussion were in unanimous agreement that a long term, durable and acceptable solution has to be found to the 70 year long dispute and to clear the confusions and defeat communal forces the responsible citizens from both the sides have to narrow the gap between Jammu and Kashmir provinces.
