Mirwaiz, while welcoming the home return of Mir into the amalgam, said, “Hurriyat (M) has always represented the real political and emotional aspirations of Kashmiris. He said the amalgam has always stood for unity and its doors were open to all pro-freedom leaders and parties.”

Speaking on the occasion, Mir has stressed that the Hurriyat (M) call for unity was imperative for the success of freedom movement. “Hurriyat was a recognized forum of Kashmiris representing Kashmiri struggle on the international arena.  The amalgam represented the true aspiration of Kashmiris and was involved in political and diplomatic efforts on International level to press for the lasting resolution of Kashmiris,” he said.

In view of the given political circumstances, Mir has said that the Hurriyat (M) should be strengthened at all levels. “Unity among pro-freedom leadership guarantees success of freedom struggle and it was the long pending demand of Kashmiris as well. In the wider interest of freedom struggle, all the pro-freedom parties should join the ranks of APHC and take the mission to its logical conclusion,” he added.

The JKLF (H) leader offered Khiraaj-e-Tehseen to Mirwaiz in connection with raising the Kashmir issue on global platforms. He said it was due to these efforts which brought urgency to solve Kashmir issue so as to bring lasting peace in south Asia.
