SRINAGAR

With an aim to achieve hundred percent coverage in terms of bringing remote households in the formal financial system, J&K Bank has been laying increased focus on Prime Ministers Jhan Dhan Yojna (PMJDY). Scores of camps have been organized across the state which saw thousands of people being mobilized towards joining banking system.

Budgam Camps

FLCC Budgam with the assistance of BU Waterhail conducted financial awareness camps in Hardu Wail in Khan Shahib, Footlipora area of Nagam, Labertal of Block Budgam. The camps laid a special focus on PMJDY, issuance and benefits of Rupay Debit Card and availing the Facilities of DBT Scheme etc.     Financial Counseling Programme for the the trainees of Dairying and Wormi Composing Activity in JKBRSETI was also organized. The participants were counselled by A H Rafiqi, Facilitator FLCC Budgam, Director RSETI Budgam and government officials from Agriculture and Horticulture Departments.

Baramulla Camps

A series of Financial Literacy and Credit Counselling camps were organized by FLCC Baramulla across the district in collaboration with respective branches and Agriculture Department. Hundreds of people were reached out through these camps in Hail Jagir area of Wagoora, Haigaam. Sopore,  Tarzua, Rakhi-Haigaam and  Amargarh Sopore, Singhpora Pattan, Boniyar Uri, Zaingeer Sopore. Apart from Mohammad Sultan Dar Facilitator FLCC Centre Baramulla, Riyaz Ahmad Mir Director RSETI Baramulla and District Agriculture Officers counselled the villagers about matters of finance, financial solutions, agricultural credit and advantages of formal financing.

Bandipora Camps

Various financial literacy camps were organized by FLCC Bandipora over the last few weeks across the district. Abdul Satar Najar Facilitator FLCC conducted the camps in areas like Che Nar,Benlipora,Ketsan, Mangnipora,Patushai,Kralapora,Mantrigam,Plan Bandipora,Nadihal and T A Shah Bandipora. Jhan Dhan Yojna alongwith related facilities like insurance, overdraft facility, Debit Rupay Card etc. The participants were also made aware about the various schemes of the Bank regarding the development of their business in the field of agriculture, handicrafts and fishery business.

Poonch Camps:

A banking awareness camp was held at Gali Pindi  in collaboration with NABARD. The participants were made aware about PMJDY and different economic empowerment schemes of the bank by FLCC Kuldeep Sharma. More such camps were organized in Zabda (Dhana ),  Chaktroo in Tehsil Mandi, Lassana in Surankote, Pathantir in Mendhar etc.

An impressive awareness program was held in Poonch Main as desired by DDC Poonch with focus on having bank accounts for receiving LPG subsidy.

Entreprenuership Development programmes in Poonch

To give boost to the concept of self-employment, JKBRSETI  Poonch concluded six day  training  programme on  Dairy Farming  in which  30 unemployed youth from  various  villages of District received the preliminary training.   Ayub Ahmad Khuroo, Director JKBRSETI, Poonch Mr. Ayub Ahmad Khuroo while concluding programme assured handholding support and credit linkage to the prospective entrepreneurs.   Yet another 15 day training programme   on “Hand Embroidery ” was also organized for 27 unemployed girls from various villages of the Poonch district.
