The Jammu and Kashmir bank chairman and CEO Parvez Ahmed on Friday called upon Governor N. N. Vohra, at the Raj Bhavan, Jammu.
According to the spokesman, Parvez informed the Governor about the recent initiatives taken by the bank to enlarge its services by expanding the bank’s infrastructure, particularly for promoting digital economy.
The duo discussed issues relating to the effective use of funds for advancing its Corporate Social Responsibility and providing targeted support to identified segments of the economy. This includes the craftsmen, artisans, farmers, horticulturists and entrepreneurs who have viable proposals to set up new ventures.
The Governor stressed the J&K Bank’s high responsibility to play a larger role in speeding the growth and development of the State.
