J&K Bank RSETI Kulgam concluded a 3-week ‘Skill Enhancement’ training programme in dress making, wherein 34 women belonging to BPL category participated.  The programme was sponsored by DRDA through various Panchayats.

Speaking at the valedictory function, Director Institute Mohammad Shafi Ayaz said that since April the institute has trained 9 batches comprising of 288   candidates against annual target of 15 batches.

Out of these, 124 entrepreneurs have been provided with credit facility by various banks particularly by J&K Bank, he added. He further said that 8 awareness camps were also organized during current financial year.

Project Officer, DRDA Kulgam Dr A U Tak distributed the certificates among participants and expressed the hope that these programmes will certainly help in generation of employment among unemployed youth of the district.
Such types of training programmes are attracting more and more unemployed youth of the district which itself speaks of success of such programs, he added.

FLCC Camp in Bandipora

FLCC Bandipora conducted awareness camps at Ashtangoo and Girls high School Kaloosa, which were attended by a large gathering comprising of villagers, sarpanches, panches, students and teachers.

During both the camps Facilitator FLCC Bandipora Abdul Sattar explained in detail credit facilities provided by financial institutions for employment generation.

FLCC Camp Kulgam

FLCC Kulgam conducted an awareness camp was organised at Village Lamad in Devsar Kulgam.
The participants were made aware about the importance of opening bank accounts, besides benefits of saving for future were explained in detail.

The people affiliated with apple industry and agricultural activities were made aware about the schemes particularly tailored for the development of economy of orchardists.

Facilitator FLCC urged the unemployed youth to register themselves with RSETI Kulgam where trainings are being imparted for development of skill which can pave a way for them to obtain loans from the Banks.

Fin Lit Camp at Rohama

A financial literacy camp was organized at Govt. High School Reban in Rohama Baramulla, which was attended by students, teachers and other staff.

Cluster Head Kashmir North Cluster-II Hayat Ahmad, who chaired the camp, gave a description about the role of banks specially J&K Bank in the development of the state.

He emphasized upon the audience to take advantage of such camps and ensure timely repayment of bank loans to ensure its circulation to others for progress and development of all.

Facilitator FLCC Baramulla explained in detail the efforts put in streamlining the process of flow of agriculture loans to the farming community.

He explained the purpose of opening of No-frill accounts and introduction of Smart cards and talked about the benefits of being linked to the formal financial sector.

Head J&K Grameen Bank, Reban Branch, Ahsan gave a detailed account of the financial products of J&K Grameen Bank.
Officers from Apple project and KCC scheme spoke about the Kissan credit card and Apple advance schemes of J&K Bank in detail.
