Carrying forward  its ‘health for all’ mission as a part of platinum jubilee celebrations under the banner of corporate social responsibility, J&K Bank Sunday organised a free medical camp at Bani, a remote and far flung tehsil in district Kathua. Over 400 patients were rendered medical treatment at the camp.

The camp was jointly inaugurated by the SDM Bani, Ranjeet Singh and the bank’s vice president & zonal head Jammu central,.Arvind Gupta, in presence of the bank’s cluster head Kathua, Suresh Kotwal, block medical officer, Rajinder Kumar and other prominent citizens of the town.

Eminent doctors from medical college Jammu Dr. Harish Deng (Orthopedics), Dr. R K Mengi (Ophthalmology), Dr Sorav (General surgery), Dr Dushyant Chowdhary (Physician) and Dr Amardeep Singh (ENT) examined the patients. The patients were also provided with free medicines. The doctors were assisted by the paramedical staff.

Local MLA, Lal Chand who visited the camp appreciated the bank for conducting this camp in the remote area that has been ‘deprived by the medical specialties. He thanked the bank chairman &CEO, Mushtaq Ahmed, for taking such a noble initiative for the poor people of this remote tehsil.
