SRINAGAR: Police have conducted searches at multiple locations linked to militants operating from the other side of LoC and their associates in the Doda and Kishtwar districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
As per media reports, extensive searches are underway at the residences of suspectes and their associates as part of ongoing investigations under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), the sources said.
On Monday, police teams targeted the premises of several individuals believed to have ties with terror groups operating from other side of LoC in both Doda and Kishtwar districts.
These operations come in the wake of the terror attack in Pahalgam, south Kashmir, on April 22, which claimed the lives of 26 people, including a Nepalese citizen, and left several others injured. As a result, police have ramped up efforts against militants and their networks.
