SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has prohibited examination supervisory staff from keeping mobile phones with them during examination hours, directing them to deposit their devices with centre superintendents.
In a circular issued on October 21, the Board instructed all centre superintendents to ensure strict compliance with the directive. The superintendents will be personally responsible for implementing the instructions.
However, centre superintendents have been exempted from the restriction and are permitted to retain their mobile phones to facilitate communication with the Board’s divisional, sub and branch offices, as well as their respective departmental hierarchies.
The circular also directs examination authorities not to allow candidates to leave the examination centre with their question papers until at least half of the examination duration has elapsed.
