JKLF chief Muhammad Yasin Malik Wednesday morning began his 30-hour long hunger strike against the human rights abuses in Jammu and Kashmir.

The hunger strike started on International Human Rights (IHR) Day December 9 Maqbool Manzil here and will end on December 10 at its headquarters.

“On International Human Rights Day, JKLF is holding a 30-hour long token protest hunger strike against human rights abuses in Jammu Kashmir. The strike started this morning and will continue till the evening of December 10,” a spokesman of JKLF.

“Kashmiris through this protest programme will register their protest against gross human rights violations in Jammu Kashmir, arrests, torture, oppression, ban on peaceful political activities and continuous killing spree in Kashmir by Indian forces.”
