Terming Prof Abdul Ahad Wani as a leader who with his comprehension, and diplomatic wisdom gave a new light to the struggle for independence, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) on Wednesday said remained steadfast in this movement and even sacrificed his life in the way of Commitment.

This was stated by the chairman JKLF Mohammad Yasin Malik while speaking in a meeting held in connection with the martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Prof. Abdul Ahad Wani. Malik said that in regard with the martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Prof Wani, a seminar will be held on Sunday 29th December 2013.

The seminar will be titled as “Indo/Pak Dialogue process and Jammu and Kashmir issue” and besides paying tributes to Shaheed Prof Wani, deliberations will be held on the recent dialogue process between India and Pakistan and ignorance towards the resolution of Jammu Kashmir dispute.

Speakers will also deliberate upon the need of enhancing efforts to take the freedom struggle to its logical and desired goal. The seminar will be attended by various scholars, intellectuals and leaders etc. Yasin sahib, while paying tributes to Shaheed Prof. Wani, said that he was a man who believed in work and only work. He remained steadfast and worked day in and out for highlighting the issue of Kashmir on the diplomatic and political front.

He was a genius and the world leaders who met him were impressed with his wisdom and diplomatic skills. Shaheed Professor Wani sahib and people like him are Pride of Nations, added Yasin.

He said that the best way to pay tributes to legends like Professor Wani Shaheed is to keep struggling in the way they sacrificed their lives for. Malik said that JKLF will surely keep the flame of struggle burning and take it to the desired goal of Azadi.
