Minister of State for Home Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo on Wednesday received a rousing reception at Gupkar Srinagar on his first arrival in Kashmir after he was re-inducted as a minister.
MoS Kichloo while addressing his supporters and party leaders thanked them for organising this type of program for him. He told party workers to work towards the strengthening of Public-Party relationship at grass root level.
He said that people power is the only power that can bring change in the society by electing genuine candidates through their votes. He said that late Sher-e-Kashmir sacrifices his precious years of his life for the welfare of people of Jammu and Kashmir and even remain in jail for several years.
He said that the aim and objective of National Conference and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is to serve the people of Jammu and Kashmir with zeal and zest. He also advocated for bring the gap close between the people of Jammu Division and Kashmir. He said that some forces in Jammu and Kashmir Division as well are working to create wedge between the people of Jammu and Kashmir Division.
He said that NC leadership will not allow any political force to weaken the state of Jammu and Kashmir on communal lines. He said that the better future of entire state is in equal development of Jammu, Ladakh and Kashmir.
Kitchloo said that NC is the only political party in state of Jammu and Kashmir having representation in all the three regions of the state. He said that people of Jammu and Kashmir cannot be befooled by the hollow slogans of political parties like BJP & PDP and added that people will teach them the lesson in upcoming elections.
He said that people of the state will again voted NC to power in upcoming Parliament and state elections. He said that NC is committed for equitable development of all the three regions of the state and added that NC will never compromised with the developmental agenda of the state.
Kitchloo advised the party workers and other party leaders with party posts to mingled with the people and understand their problems, beside try to solve them. He further told them that incase the problem did not solve at Block, Tehsil or District level, they must communicate the same to the government through local party representatives. He said that all the party leaders and ministers are committed towards the betterment of delivery system.
He also stress for functioning of parties District offices in all the 22 districts of the state. He said that proper activation of party’s District offices will act as bridge between the people and the government for speedy disposal of the public related issues. He also advise the party functionary to keep close eye on all the political and non political activities going on in their areas so as to prevent the common people from falling into trape of hollow promises of political parties during the time of elections.
Kitchloo also thanked the party as well as his supporters for showing his support during needy hours. He said that the services delivered by his late father Bashir Ahmed Kichloo as well as by him is an eye opener and has set an example of good governance and development.
He said that he will continue to work for the welfare of the people of state as a minister as well as for the people of Kishtwar District as an MLA. He said that people and party support has give him extra energy and added that he wants to use the same for the betterment and welfare of its people.
