As part of mass awareness activities J&K Yateem Foundation Ganderbal unit organized seminar on “Together with Orphans, Widows & Destitute” at Government Higher Secondary School Hari Ganiwan Kangan.

Speaking on the occasion Mohammad Shafi Rather, Horticulture and Planning Officer District Ganderbal, who was chief guest on the occasion, called for joining hands for taking concrete measures to rehabilitate thousands of orphans, widows and destitute through well-structured rehabilitation mechanism.

He said several voluntary organizations including JKYF have been contributing immensely for the common cause. He said the cross section of people needs to understand their responsibilities and contribute whatever could be possible for the better life of the underprivileged classes of our society.

Chairman J&K Yateem Foundation, Mohammad Rafiq Lone, in his address urged people to join hands together for taking forward common cause of welfare and rehabilitation of orphans, widows and destitute.

Earlier, District Representative Ganderbal JKYF Altaf Hussain Sofi highlighted features and activities of various welfare programmes of Yateem Foundation which covers education, healthcare and livelihood for the needy and destitute.

Tehsil Representative (TR) Ganderbal Abdul Majeed, TR Kangan Mohammad Ashraf, District Executive Committee Member Gh Mohammad Rather and sizeable chunk of locals were present on the occasion.

On the occasion JKYF documentary and Baitul Hilal anthem were also screened.
