Terming Hurriyat Conference (JK) as a political platform of resistance people senior Hurriyat leader and chairman, Shabir Ahmad Shah Friday appealed all resistance leaders to join the platform to take the ‘freedom’ movement to its logical conclusion.

“Hurriyat Conference (JK) represents the aspirations of the people of Jammu Kashmir. I appeal all pro-freedom leadership to strengthen the it and play their role in taking the freedom movement to its logical end,” Shah said, addressing a public meeting in Rafiabad area on Friday.

Shah along with senior Hurriyat Conference leader Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Mohammad Yusuf Naqash, Shabir Ahmad Dar, Muhammad Iqbal Mir and Muhammad Yasin Ataai visited Rohama, Rafiabad.

Paying tributes to ‘martyrs’, Shah said, “we will not allow anyone to construct political palaces over the graves of our martyrs who laid their precious lives for the right to self determination.”

Hurriyat Conference (JK) leader Nayeem Ahmad Khan while endorsing the January 26 shutdown call said January 26 is a day of adding salt to the injuries of oppressed Kashmiris. “We have rendered unlimited sacrifices for the freedom cause; how come we celebrate this day as our republic,” Nayeem said.
