Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah Friday evening met Union Minister for Home Affairs, Sushilkumar Shinde and discussed various matters relating to the security and development of Jammu and Kashmir.

According to a statement from government spokesman, matters pertaining to prevailing law and order scenario, general situation in the State and the coordination between various security agencies in their functioning were also discussed in detail in the meeting.

The two leaders also reviewed the preparatory arrangements by the Jammu and Kashmir Government and the logistics it requires from the Central Government for the smooth and peaceful conduct of ensuing Parliament Elections in the State.
