SRINAGAR: The Chief Engineer (Distribution) of JPDCL Jammu has announced a scheduled power shutdown across several areas to facilitate maintenance and infrastructure upgrades.
On March 12, the power supply will remain affected in Keerian Local, Keerian Industry, and adjoining areas from 9 AM to 5 PM. During the same day, Kathua Town, Hatlimorh, Kalibari, Ludanchack, Janglote, Patel Nagar, Sawan Chack, Shastri Nagar, Chack Pratap, and PHE installations will experience outages from 10 AM to 2 PM. Residents of Smailpur, Rahya, Gurah, Utterbehni, Mandal, Central University, and nearby localities will also face power cuts during the same hours.
On March 13 and 16, electricity supply will be interrupted from 10 AM to 3 PM in Jakh, Jogpur, Sarore, and Patli Industry, along with surrounding regions. On March 16, power will be suspended from 10 AM to 2 PM in Logate Industrial Area, Kumbri Kathera, MES Janglote, IIDC, Govindsar, Nagri, Palli, Nicer Paper Mill, and nearby locations. Industrial Area Bari Brahmana, Bari Brahmana Town, Kaluchak, and surrounding places will face a shutdown from 9 AM to 5 PM on the same day.
On March 18, Channi Himmat and its adjoining areas will witness a power outage from 7 AM to 10 AM. The JPDCL has urged residents and businesses in the affected localities to make necessary arrangements and cooperate, as these shutdowns are essential for ensuring a more stable and efficient power supply.
