Keeping up with the tradition, the APHC Wednesday said that the incoming Jumait-ul-vida will be observed as Youm-e-Qudus and Youm-e-Kashmir in both the parts of divided Kashmir.
The decision was taken during an executive council member meeting convened by the party chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.
The participants resolved that the biggest gathering in connection with the Youm-e-Kashmir would be led by Mirwaiz at historic Jamia Masjid Srinagar. The APHC Chairman would throw light on the current political struggle of Kashmiris and would also present a memorandum for the public approval.
The Hurriyat expressed its serious concern over the nocturnal raids and brutal force used by the police and Indian troops to detain and interrogate the Kashmiri youth. APHC said that such state aggression would only complicate the problem instead of solving it. He said the state sponsored terrorism would enrage the people more, and government would be itself responsible if situation takes an ugly turn.
Coming down heavily on National conference, the APHC said that this party was dividing Kashmiris for its own electoral benefits. NC has always demonstrated double standards, on the one hand it advocates solving Kashmir issue by joining hands with the pro freedom leadership, but on the other their government has unleashed a reign of oppression and suppression on poor Kashmiri. Day in and day out Kashmiri youth are being detained and tortured and when the people stand up against state aggression they are arrested and detained in nocturnal raids.
The APHC said that NC was involved in the worst form of political retribution in Kashmir and has always put restrictions and curbs on Hurriyats political and religious activities.
During the meeting it was observed that Kashmiris were wary of pro-indian parties whose politics is based on hypocrisy and deceit. They said that people would never get lured by those forces who have politically exploited Kashmiris since 1947.
The Hurriyat has appealed people to the people of Kashmir in general and to the people of Budgam district particular to maintain unity at all costs and be vigilant of those forces who are trying to divide kashmiri on sectarian lines.
