SRINAGAR: Jumat-ul-Vida, the last Friday of the holy month of Ramzan, will be observed across Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.
Grand Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam, speaking to Kashmir Life, said that this year Jumat-ul-Vida will fall on March 13, noting that the following Friday may coincide with Eid-ul-Fitr.
Traditionally, the largest congregational prayers are expected to be held at the revered Hazratbal Shrine and the historic Jamia Masjid in Srinagar.
Meanwhile, authorities have put in place necessary arrangements at Dargah Hazratbal to facilitate devotees arriving for the special Friday prayers. The Traffic Department has also made elaborate arrangements to ensure smooth vehicular movement and provide adequate parking facilities for the expected rush of worshippers.
