Former High Court Judge Justice B A Kirmani Thursday submitted a review petition against the recent verdict of State High Court regarding Muslim Man’s Power to Divorce.
Stating that he was not satisfied with the verdict, Justice B A Kirmani said, “I have filled a review petition in the High Court and hope that it will be listed for the discussion”.
Pertinent to mention that Justice Hasnain Masoodi of the J&K High Court recently ruled that Muslim man’s power to divorce his wife is not “unrestricted or unqualified”.
The verdict has created ripples among clergy.
