An army soldier was injured on Saturday after a speeding vehicle hit him Rawatpora area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district. During the incident, a driver has also sustained the injuries.
Reports said that a passenger cab bearing registration number JK09-862) was on way to Kupwara from Karnah when it hit an army soldier near Rawatpora, resulting in injuries to an army man and the civilian driver identified as Adil Hussain son of Mohammad Hussain resident of Mandi Karnah.
Soon after the accident, both the injured were rushed to the hospital by locals. However, the army man was later taken to an army hospital for specialized treatment.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case in this regard and further investigations have been taken up.
