Srinagar based ‘think-tank’ Centre for Research and Development Policy (CRDP) on Sunday extended deadline for nominations till 20th August for its ‘mega event’ on the first anniversary of 2014 September floods.

CRDP is organizing ‘Kashmir’s 7 September: Commemorating the Past, Celebrating our Resilience’ to honour local heroes and brave hearts, who did outstanding work during and after the floods.

CRDP Director Dr Suhail Masoodi, in a statement, said, “the overwhelming response has prompted the organization to extend the nominations date till August 20.”

Earlier, the August 15 was set as deadline for nominations.

The CRDP functionaries informed that the jury shall start processing on the received nominations from August 21 and the final awardees will finalised in a few days since then.
