LoC Firing: Death Toll Reached Five

SRINAGAR

In the exchange of fire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu division, the death toll reached five Saturday late evening.

“A 20-year-old boy, Mohammad Amin, a resident of Basooni, who was airlifted to GMC Jammu in a critical condition succumbed to his injuries at the hospital,” reports said. “He had suffered multiple fractures due to splinters.”

India blamed Pakistan of violating ceasefire along Poonch LoC today.

“A 10-year-old boy, Moin Khan, son of Kafeel Khan, resident of Basooni Mendhar succumbed to injuries,” SSP Poonch J S Johar was quoted as having.

Earlier three people were killed in the firing with dozens others stuck in the hamlets without medical help, the reports added.
